1. Purpose
This assessment records the safeguarding arrangements and preventative controls used by Court De Padel within its toilets, showers and changing facilities. The purpose is to demonstrate that appropriate measures are in place to protect privacy, dignity, safety and wellbeing for all users.
2. Scope
The assessment applies to all users of the Court De Padel facilities, including members, guests, children and young people, adults at risk, parents/carers, staff, coaches, volunteers and visitors.
3. Safeguarding Arrangements and Controls
Privacy & dignity
Arrangements in place: Toilets and changing facilities are provided as private areas. All users are expected to respect the privacy, dignity and personal space of others.

Staff & coach access
Arrangements in place: Staff and coaches do not enter occupied changing areas unless there is a genuine safeguarding, medical, maintenance or emergency reason. Where entry is necessary, staff announce themselves first and use the least intrusive approach.

Arrangements in place: Junior activities are managed in accordance with Court De Padel safeguarding arrangements. Appropriate supervision and clear responsibility arrangements are established for organised sessions.

Photography & filming
Arrangements in place: Photography and filming are strictly prohibited in toilets, showers and changing areas. This requirement is communicated through the club’s Photography & Filming Policy and facility rules.

Arrangements in place: Users are expected to respect privacy when using mobile devices. Recording or photographing other users in private areas is not permitted.

Arrangements in place: Staff, coaches and volunteers maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow Court De Padel safeguarding and conduct requirements.

Arrangements in place: All users are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation and inappropriate conduct are not accepted.

Arrangements in place: Access to facilities is managed as part of normal club operations. During organised junior activities, supervision arrangements are established in advance.

4. Junior Safeguarding Standards
Where children and young people use the facilities, Court De Padel will maintain clear, age-appropriate arrangements that support privacy and dignity.
• Staff and coaches will maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Unnecessary adult access to occupied junior changing areas will be avoided.
• Any necessary staff access will be brief, appropriate and for a legitimate reason.
• Photography and filming are not permitted in changing rooms, showers or toilets.
• Junior participants will be provided with clear information about who they can speak to if they have a concern.
• Safeguarding concerns will be managed in accordance with the Court De Padel Safeguarding Policy.
5. Management Checks
• Changing and toilet areas are included within routine facility checks.
• Privacy, signage, lighting, doors, locks and general condition should be checked periodically.
• Cleaning and maintenance arrangements should be monitored by club management.
• Any required corrective action should be recorded and followed through to completion.
• This assessment should be revisited following significant changes to the facilities or operating arrangements.
6. Overall Assessment
Court De Padel has appropriate preventative safeguarding arrangements in place for its toilets and changing facilities. The controls described in this assessment support privacy, dignity, professional conduct and the safe use of the facilities. Management will continue to monitor the effectiveness of these arrangements.
