1. Purpose
Court De Padel is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy padel, regardless of their background, identity, age, ability or circumstances. We want our club to be a place where people feel comfortable, valued and able to participate.
2. Our Commitment
Court De Padel will:
• Treat all members, guests, staff, coaches and visitors with dignity and respect.
• Promote equal opportunities to participate in padel and club activities.
• Not tolerate discrimination, bullying, harassment, victimisation or hate-based behaviour.
• Encourage a culture where differences are respected and people feel safe to be themselves.
• Consider reasonable adjustments to help disabled people and those with additional needs participate.
• Ensure our facilities, activities and communications are as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.
• Listen to feedback and continually look for ways to improve inclusion across the club.
3. Equality and Diversity
Court De Padel welcomes people regardless of protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010, including age, disability, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, and pregnancy or maternity.
We also recognise that people may face barriers for other reasons, including financial circumstances, caring responsibilities, confidence, previous sporting experience or language. We will seek to remove unnecessary barriers wherever reasonably possible.
4. Accessibility
Court De Padel will aim to make its courts, toilets, changing facilities, customer service and club activities accessible and welcoming. Where a participant identifies an accessibility requirement, we will consider reasonable adjustments and communicate with them about what support may be appropriate.
5. Behaviour and Respect
Everyone using Court De Padel is expected to behave respectfully. Discriminatory language, offensive jokes, unwanted conduct, intimidation, exclusion or harassment will not be accepted on the courts, in the clubhouse or changing facilities, online, or at club events.
Where inappropriate behaviour occurs, Court De Padel may take proportionate action under its club rules and other relevant policies.
6. Reporting a Concern
Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, bullying or exclusion is encouraged to report it to a member of Court De Padel management. Concerns will be listened to seriously, handled as confidentially as possible and investigated appropriately.
If the behaviour presents an immediate risk of harm or involves a safeguarding concern, the club’s Safeguarding Policy and emergency procedures will also apply.
7. Responsibility
Inclusion is everyone’s responsibility. Club management will promote this policy, while staff, coaches, members and visitors are expected to contribute to a positive and respectful environment.
8. Review
This policy will be reviewed at least annually, or sooner where there are significant changes to the club, relevant legislation, guidance or identified areas for improvement.
