Effective date: 7 September 2026
Review date: 7 September 2027

1. Purpose

Court De Padel is committed to providing a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy padel without fear of bullying, intimidation or harassment. Bullying is not tolerated anywhere on the club premises, during club activities or through club-related online communication.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all members, guests, children and young people, parents and carers, staff, coaches, volunteers, contractors and visitors at Court De Padel.

3. What Is Bullying?

Bullying is behaviour that is intended to hurt, intimidate, humiliate or exclude another person, and may be repeated or form part of a wider pattern. Bullying can be verbal, physical, emotional, social or online.

– Insults, name-calling, mocking or humiliating comments.
– Threats, intimidation or deliberately aggressive behaviour.
– Physical aggression or deliberately causing injury.
– Deliberately excluding or isolating someone.
– Spreading rumours or sharing harmful or humiliating content.
– Cyberbullying through social media, messaging apps or other digital platforms.
– Bullying based on someone’s age, disability, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other personal characteristic.

4. Our Commitment

– We will take all reports of bullying seriously.
– We will listen to concerns without unnecessary judgement.
– We will take reasonable steps to protect anyone experiencing bullying.
– We will challenge bullying behaviour and promote respectful communication.
– We will consider safeguarding procedures where bullying involves a child, an adult at risk or a serious risk of harm.
– We will aim to resolve concerns fairly, proportionately and promptly.

5. Reporting Bullying

Anyone who experiences or witnesses bullying should report it to a member of Court De Padel management or an appropriate member of staff or the coaching team. Reports may be made verbally or in writing.

When reporting an incident, provide as much factual information as possible, including what happened, when and where it happened, who was involved and whether there were witnesses. Screenshots or other relevant evidence of online bullying should be retained where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

6. Responding to a Report

– The concern will be listened to and recorded where appropriate.
– The club will assess the seriousness of the behaviour and any immediate risks.
– Those involved may be spoken to separately.
– The club will avoid unnecessary confrontation between the person reporting the concern and the alleged bully.
– Appropriate action will be taken based on the circumstances and the available information.
– Serious incidents may be referred to the police or the relevant safeguarding authorities.

7. Children and Young People

Court De Padel takes bullying involving children and young people particularly seriously. Concerns about a child’s welfare will be managed in accordance with the Court De Padel Safeguarding Policy. Parents and carers may be involved where appropriate, taking account of the child’s welfare and any safeguarding considerations.

8. Online and Social Media

Bullying does not stop when someone leaves the club. Harmful messages, posts, group chats, images or videos connected to Court De Padel activities may be addressed under this policy where they affect members or the club environment.

9. Unacceptable Retaliation

Anyone who reports bullying, or who supports another person who reports bullying, must not be victimised or retaliated against. Deliberately making malicious or knowingly false allegations may be dealt with under the club’s conduct procedures.

10. Consequences

Depending on the seriousness and the circumstances, Court De Padel may issue a warning, impose restrictions, remove a person from the premises, suspend or terminate membership, or refer the matter to an external authority. Any action will be proportionate and consistent with relevant club policies.

11. Review

This policy will be reviewed at least annually, or sooner following a significant incident, a change in legislation or guidance, or where the club identifies a need to improve its approach.

I highly recommend this venue. The staff are consistently friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food and drinks are outstanding, and Kale’s (the chefs) baked cookies and brownies are exceptional. For anyone considering playing, booking a court is a must!!!!
